“We sent an email” may not be the whole notice process.
Match recipients, methods, deadlines, and retained evidence.
The question to ask
Find the required recipient, address, delivery method, deemed-receipt rule, and deadline for each notice type. Renewal, breach, termination, and routine service messages may follow different procedures.
Illustrative clause — not a court case
Hypothetical wording: Notices are effective when sent to the account email. Ask what happens when an employee leaves or a message fails delivery.
Source and legal limits
Section 7001 addresses electronic form and includes record-retention and consumer-disclosure qualifications. It does not independently prove consent, signing authority, or compliance with a particular contract notice clause.
What can go wrong
A team can miss a deadline despite sending an informal message to the wrong address. Electronic records can become inaccessible, making it harder to show the version accepted or when notice was given.
A focused negotiation
Agree on maintained notice contacts, accepted channels, address-change procedures, and evidence of delivery. Preserve an accessible signed version and relevant notices. Have a person verify deadlines and applicable statutory requirements.

Electronic form, consumer disclosure, record retention and other qualifications; fixed 2024 edition, not proof of assent or authority.
